THINKING OF MEXICAN FUTURE
CENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE COLECTION ON MEXICAN REVOLUTIONS

PRESENTATION

We are introducing the reader to the Centennial Revolutions Commemorative Collection, as part of the bicentennial independence of Mexico bicentenary as well as the Mexican Revolution celebrations.

Recognizing the significance of both historical events which shaped the contemporary reality of our country, the volumes included in this collection deal with different social, economical, political, cultural and institutional aspects, considered as essential in the present Mexican society performance.

The aim of this work as a whole, is to make a critical analysis in order to better understand the actual Mexican reality as well as to provide an evaluation of the achievements attained so far and the way the new foreseen challenges to be faced in the future.

Each volume of the collection provides the historical vision of a topic; it also intends to explain the current circumstances of our nation based on the outstanding past events that helped to make up the present Mexico. Likewise, it offers alternatives to overcome today´s challenges and the ones that may be anticipated in the historical development of our country. Therefore, such collection expects not only to be a descriptive revision of the past, but also a balanced reflection on the main strengths of our society and on others that need to be encouraged to outline a Nation project that favors the common good within a system that respects freedom, differences and the civil rights of the people.
